Draft — under review
Last updated 5 August 2026
The short version: Bitnora measures a portfolio you describe to it and tells you what it found. It is not a broker, not an adviser, and during the beta it is not finished. The rest of this page says that carefully.
Read this first
Bitnora is in beta and this document is a draft under review: it is not legal advice, it has not been reviewed by a lawyer, and the governing law below is still a placeholder. It is published now because linking to a page that does not exist is worse than publishing an honest draft — but treat it as a description of intent, and ask if anything matters to you.
Not financial advice
Nothing in Bitnora is investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. The app measures a portfolio against targets you wrote down and reports the gap; the targets, the trades, and the consequences are yours.
The AI portfolio reviews are informational, generated by a language model reading your figures. They can be wrong, they can be confidently wrong, and every one of them carries an explicit list of what the data could not support. Read them as a second pair of eyes with no accountability — not as a professional opinion. Rebalance order drafts, drift figures, and income projections are arithmetic on the data you supplied, not predictions.
Market data comes from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Paper trading is a simulation: fills are modelled at a fetched quote, with no slippage, spread, commission, or liquidity, and simulated results are not indicative of real ones.
Beta status
Bitnora is under active development. Features may change or be removed, limits (such as the daily cap on AI reviews) may move, data may need migrating, and there is no uptime commitment. Registration is invite-gated and an invite can be declined or withdrawn. If the service is going to be discontinued, registered users will be given notice and a way to export their data.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password and your invite code to yourself, and for everything done through your account.
- One account per person. Do not share credentials, and tell us promptly if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and you must not use Bitnora where doing so would break local law.
- You can close your account at any time. Ask through the contact form and it is deleted, along with the data described in the privacy policy.
Acceptable use
Use Bitnora to track portfolios. Do not attack it, scrape it, resell it, use it to store data you have no right to hold, upload someone else's brokerage statements without their permission, or try to reach another user's data. Automated hammering of the API — including the public forms and the demo endpoints — may be rate-limited or blocked. Accounts doing any of the above can be suspended without notice.
Broker connections
Connecting Interactive Brokers is your instruction to fetch the statements that Flex query exposes. The token is read-only: Bitnora cannot trade, transfer, or change anything in your brokerage account, and it never asks for credentials that would let it try. You can revoke the token in IBKR at any moment. Imported data can be wrong — a statement can be incomplete, a corporate action can be misread — and reconciliation exists precisely because the import is not assumed to be perfect. Your broker's own records are the record.
Your data stays yours
You keep every right to the portfolio data you enter or import. Granting Bitnora the ability to store, process, and display it back to you is the entire licence being asked for, and it lasts only as long as your account. The privacy policy describes who processes it on our behalf.
Read the privacy policyAvailability and support
The service is provided as is and as available, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Support during the beta is one person reading a shared inbox, best effort, usually within a couple of days.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Bitnora and its operator are not liable for investment losses, lost profits, lost data, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from using — or being unable to use — the service. Decisions made with the help of Bitnora are yours. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as for fraud or personal injury.
Changes to these terms
These terms will change as the product does; the date at the top is the last revision. Material changes will be announced to registered users by email. Continuing to use Bitnora after a change means accepting the revised terms, and if you would rather not, close your account and ask for your data to be deleted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Owner: set jurisdiction], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. This placeholder is deliberately visible: the owner sets it before launch, and until then no jurisdiction has been chosen.
Getting in touch
Questions about these terms, or about anything in them that reads as unclear or unreasonable: the contact form reaches a person.
